The Design Thinking workshop make use of the Design Thinking approach, which puts the end user in focus, enables people from various backgrounds to work together to solve community problems. Setting context and getting a clear understanding of the users' needs and challenges is imperative when exploring ideas and solutions. Design thinking is proven to work because it is a collaborative co-creative process grounded in engagement, dialogue, and learning. When you involve members and/or stakeholders in the process of defining the problem and in developing solutions, you have a much better chance of gaining commitment for change in your community.
The objective of this workshop is to understand how your community will stay ahead of the digital curve using Design thinking strategies & innovative technology tools to be in sync with #SmartNation Initiative, and also M3 vision of creating the community of success.

“Raikan Ilmu” is a campaign created by Mendaki Singapore to embrace and celebrate the pursuit of knowledge as a way of life.
The meaning of “Ilmu” is knowledge which is constantly evolving and dynamic.The campaign message is to promote that knowledge is not constraint to only books. Knowledge goes beyond books. For example; the learning of news skills in the new fields. Being a technology company, CollabDeen shares the similar vision of knowledge acquisition with “Raikan Ilmu”. Together with “Raikan Ilmu”, we promote knowledge acquisition and the culture of learning through valuable appropriate activities involving the community. Together, we can progress as a community.
Sharina specializes in Design Methodologies, Research & Innovation and have accumulated 10 years of experience working with global brands on numerous projects individually and in teams, designing products, services & experiences. Most recently, she served as a Programme Development Director for C-Academy, the educational arm of Creativeans Pte Ltd, an interdisciplinary creative consultancy.
Sharina has organised various design events and actively creates and conducts workshops in the area of Creativity & Design, aimed at professionals and organisations. She previously taught Industrial Design at Nanyang Polytechnic and her article on the Double Matrix was recently published in the Service Design Network Touchpoint Journal.
Sharina holds a Bachelor of Arts (Product Design) from University of Arts London (Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design) and was awarded with a sponsorship to pursue her Ph.D in Design by University of Canberra, Australia.
Fateh Ali, the co-founder and CEO of CollabDeen, is passionate about solving complex real-world problems the Halal way. His vision is to combine humans and computers to solve large-scale problems that can't be solved alone, seamlessly and all at one touch using new technologies.
Since 2013, Fateh has been involved with hundred of various communities across the globe, consulting and helping them with technology and design thinking approach. From the experience across the globe, he understood that geographically, majority communities behaved differently, face different challenges, possess different mindsets; from how they engage and interact with different groups such as Women, to the Millennials and the Elderlies.
Fateh will be sharing smart strategies, eye-opening inspiration and best practices using the application of technology for the global communities. Fateh will also share about his experiences dealing with global communities and how they are adapting with technology to solve their community problems.

WILL THERE BE BAG STORAGE IF I WANT TO HANG AROUND?
Pack light! There will be limited bag storage available to store your belongings. Just remember that it is on first-come-first-served basis, so do head down early.
