CollabDeen presents ‘Design Thinking For Community Building’, the first-of-its-kind workshop event to equip your community.
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
The Design Thinking workshop make use of the Design Thinking approach, which puts the end user in focus, enables people from various backgrounds to work together to solve community problems. Setting context and getting a clear understanding of the users' needs and challenges is imperative when exploring ideas and solutions.
Conducted by Miss Sharina, a Design Thinking specialist, who has being sharing her vast knowledge with companies such as IBM, P&G, Coca Cola and HPB to incorporate Design Thinking to their daily processes.
Design thinking is proven to work because it is a collaborative co-creative process grounded in engagement, dialogue, and learning. When you involve members and/or stakeholders in the process of defining the problem and in developing solutions, you have a much better chance of gaining commitment for change in your community.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Miss Sharina Khan
Sharina specializes in Design Methodologies, Research & Innovation and have accumulated 10 years of experience working with global brands on numerous projects individually and in teams, designing products, services & experiences. Most recently, she served as a Programme Development Director for C-Academy, the educational arm of Creativeans Pte Ltd, an interdisciplinary creative consultancy.
Sharina has organised various design events and actively creates and conducts workshops in the area of Creativity & Design, aimed at professionals and organisations. She previously taught Industrial Design at Nanyang Polytechnic and her article on the Double Matrix was recently published in the Service Design Network Touchpoint Journal.
Sharina holds a Bachelor of Arts (Product Design) from University of Arts London (Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design) and was awarded with a sponsorship to pursue her Ph.D in Design by University of Canberra, Australia.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING ALONG FOR EVENT ADMISSION?

If you intend to present a printed copy of the ticket, please ensure that the QR code on the printed ticket is clearly visible and not folded or damaged.
ARE THERE FOOD & BEVERAGES AT THE EVENT?
There will be food and beverages at the workshop. First of its kind, we are serving you a mixture of healthy, Organic & Non-Organic food. As the weather is unpredictable due to the current haze situation, you might want to bring along your drinking bottle!
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN LAPTOP?
No. You need not bring.
WILL THERE BE BAG STORAGE IF I WANT TO HANG AROUND?
Pack light! There will be limited bag storage available to store your belongings. Just remember that it is on first-come-first-served basis, so do head down early.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress presentably and comfortably. You will be in the area of Instaworthy locations. You would not want to miss out on this opportunity neither would you want to be overdressed.
