As per a survey done by AngelList, "75% of the survey respondents say they trust Microsoft, while 73% of those surveyed trust Amazon. Pulling up the rear is Facebook - only 41% of Americans say they trust the social media network to safeguard their personal information"
Since the ideation phase of CollabDeen, our direction has been strongly towards building a privacy-focused trusted private network (and not a social media)
We believe we should be working towards a world where people can speak privately as it happens with real communities, and live freely knowing that their information will only be seen by who they want to see with complete control by users and the community administrators controlling the community.
We've set up multiple measures around reporting fake profiles, fake communities, and sensitive information by creating a security layer where users don't post the content and only community administrators control the content.
Now, these administrators are gone through a selfie verification process, done their KYC and a community gets verified badge to build the trust - We know who our customers are.
On the other hand, each user gets verified via his unique phone number and emails to make sure this ecosystem we are creating is clean and trusted by eliminating misinformation, hate speech, nudity, bullying, harassment, and violent posts -- which the company is also trying to combat with artificial intelligence.
