As the coronavirus outbreak continues to worsen around the world, it’s taking a devastating toll on lives and communities. To help address some of these challenges, today we’re announcing a new $4.5+ million commitment to support small- and medium-sized communities (SMCs), non-profits, Mosques and Madrassas who are impacted at this global pandemic.
Our commitment includes:
$1+ million in credit grants to help the Non-profits - Mosques, organizations, and NGOs for our first 5000 Communities. The monthly subscription waiver of Pro plan $149/month is now $0. We will provide critical tools and remote community collaboration platform for these communities.
Up to $1 million in fee waivers: One-time setup and onboarding fees waive-off of $250, until the end of Ramadan (24 May 2020). This is the digital transformation credits for setting up communities and going digital during this period under the #DigitalRamadan Campaign
$1.5 million in CollabDeen Ads credits available to all SMCs with active accounts over the past year. Credit notifications will appear in their Community Ads accounts and can be used at any point until the end of 2020 across our platforms. We hope it will help to alleviate some of the cost of staying in touch with community members globally.
A pool of $1 million in CollabDeen credits for academic institutions, education systems, and Madrassa to leverage our remote community learning in groups, and online-class capabilities and infrastructure as they continue to study remotely and identify new ways to combat COVID-19.
Direct financial support and expertise to all non-profits with the goal of ramping up the productivity of the global Muslim community working with innovators, investors, community builders and the government in this effort.
In addition to these commitments, we also increased the gift match CollabDeen offers 1000 users with $100 Gift vouchers which can be gifted to COVID relief. That means our users can now give $100,000 to organizations credit to their local communities, in addition to the $9 million CollabDeen.com has pledged to invest in grants.
This is part of a larger commitment we have in building a great community experience. Together, we’ll continue to help our communities—including our businesses, educators, researchers, and nonprofits—to navigate the challenges ahead.
